EMC Engineer
The EMC Engineer Software is at the heart of any EMC test system. The Laplace RF emissions software is a fully integrated Windows compliant package. It not only directly controls all aspects of the analyzer, it sets the test conditions such as input device, antenna correction and insertion loss. It also includes unique features which can cancel ambient signals, calibrate your radiated test site (in conjunction with an ERS) and provide instant zoom anywhere in the scan.

This software is specifically designed for ease of use by non-EMC expert staff, but retains many exceptionally advanced features. Finally— ...The Laplace range is fully supported worldwide. Helplines and lifetime software support are included for all our customers.
Key Points
- Test Director mode in which the user is guided through the initial test sequence, prompted as necessary to ensure the correct test configuration. The software sets up the analyzer automatically thus making the system ideal for non-expert users.
- Auto site calibration. A technique for automatically calibrating any radiated measurements when using any broadband antenna. This technique utilizes an ERS, (emissions reference source) to quantify the distortions due to the test site (and any other error source) and automatically applies the appropriate corrections to any subsequent measurements.
- Background signal cancelation using advanced signal processing techniques which highlight the EUT emissions even in strong background environments.

RF Synth
Powerful automation suite for the Laplace RFx000 RF synthesizers for immunity testing matched to the requirements of IEC61000-4-3. Featuring automatic scanning to pre-programmed schedules as well as testing with a closed loop level setting. To make the best use of the immunity test facilities for both compliance testing and product investigations, several useful features have been developed and integrated in the RF Synth software.

Key Points
- Powerful EUT monitoring with real time display correlated to field strength and frequency.
- Sweep can be continuous or 'pause on fault' or 'stop on fault'. Additional EUT excitation output, either pulsed or continuous.
- Flexible single frequency search mode. Automatic ramping of field strength and fine control of frequency to figure out exactly when your EUT fails.
- The system is controlled from any PC with any Windows OS and a USB port. No additional interface cards are required.
