GOEPEL electronic has been one of the pioneers of the most innovative electrical test technology for electronic components and PCBs, JTAG/Boundary Scan. All engineering tasks required to introduce the Boundary Scan technology up to the generation of product-specific test programs as well as training seminars are part of the overall customer support by GOEPEL electronic.
In the meantime, Automated Optical Inspection has developed to one of the most commanding test technologies in electronic production. In the first year just a few systems were manufactured, but relatively quickly a product range emerged that found an appropriate infrastructure in the new company building, which was opened in 2003.
Additionally, the functional test of electronic assemblies and devices, in particular for Automotive Testing, has been one of the supporting pillars in the Company’s business activities. They are mainly focussed on the requirements of the automotive industry.
Furthermore the customized Functional Test Systems optimally suit for the automation of test runs. Integrated in a production line, as test system for final products or as repair station, versatile requirements can be realised with these systems.

The OptiCon systems‘ modular and flexible concept guarantees highest performance parameters in regards to the following factors:

  • Selectable camera configuration according to available budget and required performance. Main and add-on camera can be field-upgraded at a later date.
  • High fault detection at minimal false call rate enabled by flexible illumination, modular camera configuration, powerful OCR functions as well as precise LASER height measurement.
  • An extraordinary image quality, telecentric lens and user-friendly debug tools result in minimised debug times.
  • Fast test program generation by means of manufacturing-oriented library structure andhandling of alternative components as well as powerful import modules for various placementdata formats.
  • Complete system compatibility by identical image capturing concept and consistent system software.

In addition to the lens design for excellent image quality based on traditional know-how, innovative technologies such as Flash@Motion™, Extended Colour Technology™ and MetaFlash™ characterise the outstanding performance of the OptiCon systems.

OptiCon TurboLine

AOI System that delivers high-end inspection during large volume production and ensures superior quality for high value PCBs.

In-line AOI system with flexible integration opportunities into manufacturing lines as well as stand-alone solutions with automatic loading and sorting options.

Main Features:

The one- or four* MegaPixel camera enables high-contrast gray value capturing as well as high resolution colour images based on the Extended Colour Technology™.
For production applications, the selection of a four MegaPixel camera allows up to 2.5 times higher test speed compared to a one MegaPixel camera at identical pixel resolution.

Stand-alone AOI system for manual loading and simple adaptation for PCBs, single components and complex assemblies.
